A true Story Our local politician and police claim they can’t do anything about the Ore trucks. I have a hard time believing that. My brother in law who owns a landscaping business was ticketed this spring for being overloaded. I ‘m happy to say he won his case because the signs were not legally installed. In my opinion this is another demonstration of discrimination. WHY ARE THE ORE TRUCKS ALLOWED TO CARRY HUNDREDS OF TONS OF ORE ON OUR CITY STREET BUT LOCAL BUSINESS CANNOT? The probable answer is “the Ore Truck use a none controlled route”! What a joke. If you look up the streets that were exempt, you will not be surprised to see that exempt streets are the truck route. Our police department enforces the laws when it comes to local business people that provide a service to our community. When it comes to big business, own by foreigners it’s a different story. WHY? Because most local business people would not fight back. It’s cheaper to pay the ticket then to fight in court. When it comes to big business it’s a different story, the city knows big business will fight back, so they leave them to break the laws.
